Welcome to the Horsey Life! I’m looking forward to sharing lots of wisdom for horse owners (most of which I’ve learned from horses) over the past several decades, and I hope you’ll come along for the ride!

To give you a little bit of my background, I’m a woman of a certain age (on the outside at least; inside, I’m still a horse-crazy girl ???? ????) who has loved, owned, and trained horses for over 50 years. My credentials include a British Horse Society Assistant Instructor’s Certificate and several regional and national dressage and side-saddle titles. I’ve taught on both sides of the Atlantic, including a regular stint with a British Pony Club – lots of cute kids on Thelwell ponies! I earned my Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health in Learning certifications from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemen, Intl. (PATH Intl).

I’m fortunate enough to have been able to work with horses full-time for most of my life, having owned horse farms and taught, trained, and coached for 40+ years.

My specialty is working with women who are coming back into riding, or getting into horses for the first time. I love seeing how skills learned in a riding lesson can be translated into the world beyond the barn – hence the slogan Empowering Women in the Barn & Beyond.

I understand that just because we love horses (often more than ourselves!), things like anxiety, frustration ,and guilt still creep into the relationship. If you’ve ever felt like your horsey life doesn’t match the dreams you had, I  have a special gift for you – the 10-Minute Toolkit – a collection of powerful, portable exercises to use anytime you feel frustration or fear start to creep in. Get your copy HERE.

Until next time,

Love your horse, love your life, and love yourself.
